The bot is by default not using shorting and will not open short positions automatically.
Why is that?
It fundamentally goes against our beliefs.
If you use shorting, that means you believe long term the crypto market will go down.
As we do not believe this will happen, we by default have not enabled shorting.
You would just get more money stuck long term in open positions.
Look at any other market: gold, stocks, ...
Long term everything goes up. This is also driven by inflation and governments printing extra money.
Shorting is a short term vision, not a long term vision.
If you however disagree with us, we can enable shorting in your account.
You can create a support ticket to ask us for it.
We have several shorting options built into the bot, so technically it is definitely possible with a lot of parameters.
